Event highlight films, dance items, youtuber spoofs, and more.
I love making event highlights that feel like more than just a recap.
I turned this one around live during the course of LIFE's Sistas womens conference, filming highlights and simulataneously editing over two days so it could be played live to everyonne on the final night. Late nights in the edit suite, and a fun challenge!
I think we nailed catching the laughs, the unique moments, and the message and somehow distill it into the final output.
This epic shallow water set was built and used in several different ways for a Vision Sunnday series at LIFE. One use was this epic dance performance by Shalom Teikamata. Editing something like this is always challenging to get right, but so worth it when you do.
Crew: Abe Raffills, Jamin Greenwood and Jared Buckley.
This edit was all about the right b-roll, and using some strategic typography and motion graphic templates to take it home.
This epic cast of danncers in full cultural dress and performance was a real challenge to put together. The visuals played over a live musical performance of the song Rattle by Elevation as covered by the LIFE team in a creative Easter presentation.
Some of my favourite moments ended up being the interactions at the end.

An unusual brief came my way when we needed to create and edit this parody of a gossip youtuber channel to play in the room during a live theatrical Christmas production set in modern day for LIFE in Mount Eden.
We set up a bedroom/set in studio, relied on actor Kyla to nail her delivery, and then had a crazy time in post really saturating and adding to the sillyness.
