Shot and mid-length brand stories told through interview, broll and archival content.
Sometimes it isn't about the food, it's about connection and belonging.
I loved directing and editing the story of one @lifecommunitykitchens' locations, where a shared meal becomes an opportunity to know people, build community, and remind someone they're loved and not alone. This is an excerpt from a larger Expansion fundraising campaign for LIFE Church and LIFE Community.
It's one of my favourite examples of a small crew moving fast to capture real people, moments, and heart. Crew - Rushabh Savla and Nathan Phillips
I came in as a contract shooter for this one, filming the renovation process and afters of this Resene sponsored renovation project. The before interviews, and the edit were done by the awesome Medium Rare team.
It was a fun, fast paced shoot over a couple of half days, and was a great chance to help talent who were nervous and less experienced really shine on camera, while hitting the specific wants and goals of the client company.
Volunteers are a critical part of church and charity organisations, so this was an awesome chance to spend some time with and feature a close team that shows up to serve others.
Filmed over a hectic morning, live and during the action itself, this feature was a great example of being able to spot and follow opportunities in the moment, and to then to that in the editing suite afterward. We wanted to convey the fun and belonging of those who serve, and invite LIFE's wider congregation to get involved.
